Branding Mistakes That Make Your Business Look Unprofessional

When you are branding your business, it is important to keep in mind how it will be perceived by others. If your branding choices make you look unprofessional, it can reflect negatively on your business. There are many branding mistakes that can make you look unprofessional. Here are some of the most common that should be avoided:

Not having a clear brand

Your brand should be more than just a logo. It should encompass everything from your company culture to your values and mission. If you don’t have a clear brand, it will be difficult to convince people to take your brand seriously and you will come across as unprofessional and confusing to potential customers.

Solution:

A well-designed logo and website are worth the investment, as they will be the first things potential customers see when they learn about your company. Find a brand designer that can work with you to create everything from a Primary Logo to deciding your font choices. It’s a huge investment and it’s so beneficial for business growth.

Not staying true to your brand

If you’ve invested in professional brand identity, it’s important to stick to it. This means using the same colours, fonts, and imagery in all of your marketing and communications. If your branding is inconsistent, it will make you look unprofessional and untrustworthy. If you make sudden changes without explanation, you’ll only confuse your audience and damage your credibility.

Solution:

If you worked with a brand designer to create your branding, they should have provided you with brand guidelines. Make sure to stick to this whenever you make assets & choices within your brand. The images you use in your branding should be high-quality and professional. Blurry or low-quality images will make your brand look unprofessional.
